Kiklop

The central place in Ranko Marinković's oeuvre is occupied by the novel "Cyclops" (1965), set in pre-war Zagreb, performed through a series of modernist procedures, layered and hybrid, like most of his prose.  The plot covers the period from the autumn of 1940 to the spring of 1941, ie the months immediately before the outbreak of World War II.
